Radek Ruzicka was born on the 19th of November 1976 in Valtice, Czechoslovakia. His musical career began in 1981 at the Breclav Music School where he spent eleven years learning piano before turning his focus to trombone and tenor horn. After graduating in 1995 from the Economics Academy in Breclav, he was engaged as a military musician in Brno/Brünn. Beginning in 1996, Radek then served himself as music teacher at the Breclav Music School.
From 1999 to 2003 Mr. Ruzicka studied trombone at the Conservatory in Pardubice. He perfected his skills over the next three years at JAMU (Janacek Academy of Music) earning his Bachelor’s degree in 2006, and is currently teaching music at the music school in Velké Bilovice.
Alongside his teaching duties, Radek has worked with various ensembles including Morovanka, Vlado Kumpan and His Musicians, Gloria, Mistrinanka and Stribrnanka. He was also director of the Bojane Ensembles.
