Mateusz Kurek

Mateusz Kurek began his tuba studies at the Fryderyk Chopin School of Music in Opole, where he graduated with honors. He continued his education in the tuba class of Alessandro Fossi at the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory in Bolzano, Italy, as part of the Erasmus program. In 2017, he earned his master's degree with honors from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań.

Since 2013, Mateusz has been a member of the Air Force Representative Band in Poznań. In addition to his performing career, he is actively involved in teaching and artistic projects, regularly appearing at renowned music and academic festivals such as the International Congress of Wind Instruments "Nowe Pryzmaty," the Central European Academic Meeting of Tubists and Euphonists, the Summer Academy of Brass Instruments in Kalisz, the International Symposium of Tubists and Euphonists, the Kutno Meetings of Trombonists and Tubists, and the International Scientific Conference on Wind Instrument, Percussion, and Accordion Techniques.

Mateusz is the artistic director of the International Symposium of Tubists and Euphonists in Poznań. He also teaches tuba and euphonium at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music and the Mieczysław Karłowicz Music School in Poznań.
