MANFRED HÄBERLEIN

Manfred Häberlein was born in Nuremberg in 1967. From 1989 to 1990 he studied at the „Meistersinger“ Conservatory in Nuremberg and was then student with Tom Walsh at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich for five years. Orchestral assistants led him to the Munich Philharmonic (under the direction of Sergiu Celibidache), the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra and the Bavarian State Opera. In addition to his extensive concert activities with Harmonic Brass (from 1991 to 2020), he became an internationally sought-after lecturer for tuba and brass chamber music and passed on his profound knowledge in numerous master classes and workshops.

Since 2017 Manfred Häberlein has been lecturer for tuba at the Marburg Music School, which is preparatory to the university. Since 2018 he has been lecturer for brass instruments for the “Volkshochschule” (adult education centre), district of Fulda.
