Alexander Hill

Alexander Hill is a tubist who records, teaches, and performs locally in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as virtually. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Tennessee Tech University, where he studied with R. Winston Morris. With the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble, he went on two tours, performed at Carnegie Hall, and recorded the Carnegie VIII album. He then went on to Illinois State University where he studied with Dr. Andrew Rummel, and recorded two albums with the Illinois State Wind Symphony.
Since 2016, Alex has been in high demand within the recording scene. He has recorded on over 38 albums, on over 300 tracks, and on video games, television, internet videos, podcasts, and more. Some of Alex's recording work includes performances with Scott The Woz's 200th episode special, on G4TV, Devolver Digital's annual E3 short films, guest performances with DiscoCactus, at the Music and Gaming Festival, and many independent orchestral albums for arrangers like John Paul Hayward.
Primarily, he is the tuba player for The Game Brass. They strive to bring the discipline of classical training to the Video Game Music world, and the joy of video game music to the classical world.

The Game Brass performs a variety of music from different genres, styles, and instrumentation from brass quintet and brass ensemble, to collaborations with strings, metal guitarists, electronic artists, and more.
Together, they have released 6 albums and have released over 150 music videos on their Youtube channel. They have won several awards for Best Album, Best Acoustic Chamber Remix, and Best Game Music Cover or Remix.
